The biggest enemy of mankind

Assalam oalaikum,

We all know that enmity is commonly found amongst mankind since time immemorial. Qabil, who lost his temper and stoned his innocent
brother Habil to death, became the first person to commit a murderer on earth. Even today there are umpteen people out there who have enmity with other people. There can be enmity between neighbors, amongst relatives, amongst womenfolk. Even children can have enemies because we find so many cases of juvenile delinquency. However, in midst of all such cases we should remember that there is someone who is our biggest enemy of all. He is none other than shaitan/satan or Iblees.
The Holy Quran says: O you who believe! Enter into Islam whole-heartedly; and follow not the footsteps of the evil one; for he is to you an avowed enemy. [Quran 2:208]
And say to My slaves (i.e. the true believers of Islamic Monotheism) that they should (only) say those words that are the best. (Because) Shaitan (Satan) verily, sows disagreements among them. Surely, Shaitan (Satan) is to man an open enemy. [Quran 17:53]
Therefore, it is our foremost duty to protect ourselves from this dreadful enemy of mankind about which the Quran has cautioned us. Shaitan has been the enemy of mankind since the day man was first created. Hazrat Adam and Hazrat Hawa were the first victims of Shaitan’s deception.
However, just awareness of the fact that shaitan is our biggest enemy will not enough to defeat him. In order to subdue him we should know about shaitan’s strategies and his cunning plots so that we do not fall into the trap laid by him.

Concept of death in Islam -3
Assalam oalaikum,
Here are some ahadith related to death, which will Inshallah serve as an eye-opener:
Holy Prophet of Allah (saw) has said, "The most intelligent person is the one who often remembers death. Constant remembrance of it prevents one from evil and sin and motivates him towards good morals.
Allah (swt) says, "For every ‘Ummah’ (community or nation) there is a term appointed, when their term is reached, not an hour (nor a moment) can they cause to delay, nor (an hour nor a moment) can they advance (it)."(10:49 Tafseer Al-Qurtubi
Holy Prophet (saw) has mentioned in a Hadith, "Clever is the one who prepares for life after death." The Holy Prophet (saw) has also said, "Take importance of life before death."
Allah (swt) states, "Wherever you may be, death will overtake you even if you are in fortresses built up strong and high."
The Holy (saw) said, "When Allah decides for a person to pass away at a certain place, he makes a need for that person at that place."
The word inteqal (death) has an Arabic origin and it means transfer/ Muntaqil. In Islam death not mean the end of life but it means that a mortal has been transferred from this virtual life to real one of akhrah. The life of Akhrah is real as it is eternal. So, wise are those who understand this reality and devote their lives to the worship of Allah (swt). When such pious people experience death all of a sudden and are brought before their creator, they remain confident of His goodwill, calm and happy as opposed to those who forget Allah (swt) during their lifetime and get back to their senses only at the time of their departure.

 Concept of death in Islam -2
Assalam oalaikum,
The main way in which we are being put to test by Allah (swt) is by checking whether we are fulfilling the basic purpose of our creation, i.e. worshipping Him. Besides this human beings are being put to test in various other ways. Some of us are made to face trials and tribulations to check our patience. This is to see if we remain grateful to our creator irrespective of what we are made to go through. Some others are put to test by making them more blessed than others. Such people may consider themselves fortunate because they can get whatever they wish. They do not have to struggle in life. However, it would be silly on the part of such people to start behaving arrogantly. In a Hadith of the Holy Prophet (saw) it is narrated that, “Whosoever has in his heart, even a atom of pride he will not enter paradise.”
So in a way the fortunate, privileged and the blessed ones are also being put to test. In fact their test is tougher, although it may apparently seem to be easy. This is because they are being examined to see that how do they utilize the blessings that Allah (swt) has showered on them to serve the mankind and whether they behave in a humble way or in a haughty way with those who are on the lower rungs of life’s ladder. The biggest mistake that the blessed ones in this world can commit is to give themselves the credit for their wealth, success etc. Suppose they become conceited and start believing that whatever they have achieved in this transitory life is due to their own intellect and wisdom then they will be surely shooting themselves in the foot. The Quran says in Surah Ambiya verse 19, ‘And to Him only belongs all those who are in the heavens and in the earth.’ Each one of us, Irrespective of our worldly position is answerable to Allah (swt) on the Day of Judgment. So the better we prepare to face our creator after death, the better reward shall we get. More importantly, the earlier we start preparing to meet our creator, the better results will it yield for us. This is because death always comes unannounced. Remember, once it comes, we shall not get any more time to get a good result similar to the examinee who does not come prepared for the exam and pleads for more time to write after the exam is over.

As we are all aware of, death is inevitable. However much we may try to close our eyes to this reality deep within our hearts we are all sure that all of us shall meet our end, sooner or later. The more easily we accept the reality of death the better it is for us. However much one gets lost in the maze of materialistic desires and worldly pleasures a time will come when we will have to renounce everything, whether it is our near and dear ones or our worldly possessions and leave this stage of life. This proves the transitory nature of life.
We have been sent in this world for a fixed time by Allah (swt). The entire mankind has been created by Allah (swt) to worship him. Allah (swt) says, “I have not created men and jinn except to worship Me.” Surah 51 Al Dhariyat. So we are here primarily to worship our creator and since life is transitory so we can compare it to a journey. Allah (swt) says in the Quran, "Every soul shall have a taste of death. And only on the Day of Judgment shall you be paid your full recompense." 3:185.
So, based on our actions in this world we shall be rewarded or punished in the life hereafter. Therefore, the journey of life is compared to an examination hall. The moment we die the exam will be over and we shall be assessed on basis of our performance. We might have witnessed during umpteen exams that some students plead for some more time so that they can answer a few more questions but the examiner snatches away their answering sheet. Similarly, we will also not get a second chance to appease Allah (swt). Whatever time we have been given in this world has to be utilized in the best possible way to fair well in the exam called life.

Benefits of reading certain Quranic Surahs-4
Assalam oalaikum,
if a person is reeling under the pressure of a large debt and it is difficult for him to repay it then such a person should read Surah Kahaf one time, after every Friday Namaz, while sitting in the mosque. He should recite this Surah earnestly and after its recitation the person should perform Sajdah and pray to Allah (swt). The person should continue with this amal on every Friday till his debts are repaid. Inshallah, very soon Allah (swt) will create channels for the repayment of his debt.
If a person makes it a habit to read Surah Falaq and Surah Naas, every night, then Inshallah such a person will get protection from all kinds of devils, satanic entities such as deo, pari etc and also from satanic whispers.
Prophet Mohammad (Saw) said that whoever says this thrice in the morning, ‘Auzo-billahi-minassami-il-alimi-minasshaitan-ir-rajeem and the last three verses of Surah Hashar Allah (swt) appoints 70000 angels for that person who keep praying for that person till the evening. If the person happens to die in the meantime then he will die as a martyr/shaheed. Whoever reads these verses thrice in the evening will be entitled to the same blessings.
If a person is scared of some one who is spiteful and of a high authority then he should write Surah Ta-Ha with rose water and saffron and then wash it with water. The person should drink this water. When the person will meet his high-handed boss or some one else of high authority after doing this amal, then, Inshallah he will be protected from his wickedness or mercilessness.
If a person misplaces something and is unable to find it then the person should read verse16 of Surah Luqman. Inshallah the lost item will be recovered very soon.

Benefits of reading certain Quranic Surahs-3

Assalam oalaikum,

If a person is insane then Surah Al-Haqa should be read and blown over him thrice. Inshallah he will regain his sensibility and awareness for ever.
If a person is under the influence of aaseb/devil then Surah Tariq should be read 111 times till 11 days and blown over water. This water should be given the affected person. Inshall, he or she will get cured of all the negative effects
If a person reads Surah Al-Mursilaat oe time after maghrib namaz then Inshallah, he or she may get protection from frightening dreams.
If a person’s son or daughter gets kidnapped then Ism-e-azam, Ya Hafeezu should be read 119 times. Then verse no 16 of Surah Luqman should also be read 119 times. Inshallah, the person’s son or daughter will return safely.
If a person is suffering from itchiness then Surah Al-Qadar should be read 7 times after ablution and blown over water. This water should be given to the person who is suffering from itchiness of the skin, whether dry or wet. Inshallah the person will get cured.
If a person has scars on his face then Surah Ahqaf should be written on a clean paper and this paper should be washed with Aab-e- zum zum. Some of this water should be given to the affected person to drink while the rest should be mixed with water in a bucket and the affected person should take a bath with this water. Inshallah his or her face will get cleared of all the scars.

 Benefits of reading certain Quranic Surahs part 2

Assalam oalaikum,
If someone’s newly born babies do not survive then Surah Kausar should be read after every Salaah 7 times, till a period of 41 days. Inshallah, the next child will survive by the mercy of Allah (swt)
If a child or an elder has been afflicted by evil eye/ nazar-e-bad then Surah Kausar should be read once along with Bismillah and blown thrice over the face of the person. Inshallah, the negative effects of the evil eye will get neutralized.
If a person reads Surah Qadar 7 times before going to sleep then Allah (swt) shall protect his eyesight
If a child gets scared often then Surah should be read 41 times daily till 7 days and blown powerfully over water thrice. This water should be given to the child for drinking. Inshallah very soon the child will be able to overcome his fears.
If a student wishes to clear some exam then he should read the first five verses of Surah Alaq 700 times after Isha namaz, till a period of 21 days. Inshallah his knowledge will increase and he will get success in the exams
If a person who is suffering from tongue disorders reads Surah Al-Tin after Fajar and Maghrib namaz, 21 times each he will get cured Inshallah.
If a person reads Surah Fatah thrice after watching the Ramdan-ul-Mubarak’s moon then Inshallah he will get plenty of sustenance throughout the year.

Benefits of reading certain Quranic Surahs part 1

Assalam oalaikum,

Sa'ad Ibn Abi Waqqas (radhi allahu anhu) narrated that Prophet Mohammad (saw) said that:

Those who read Surah Mulk at night will get protection from punishment of the grave.
Those who read Surah Yaseen every morning will definitely enter Jannah and all their troubles will fade away.
For those who read Surah Dahar daily Jannah will become wajib for them.
Those who read Surah Waqya every evening will get rid of poverty and starvation
Those who read Surah Al-Asar daily will die with Iman.
Surah Qadar, if read in the morning and evening thrice, will enhance sustenance and respectability in the society.
If Surah Quraish is read before meals then the person will get protection from evil eye/nazar-e-bad.
If Surah Naas and Surah Falaq are read and blown thrice over the body, these two Surahs will provide protection from envious people.
If a person is suffering from pain in the eye the he or she should recite Surah Al-Humazah a few times and blow thrice over the eyes, then the pain will subside.

The concept of Ibadah in Islam - 2
Assalam oalaikum,
In a nutshell, besides commanding us to perform some specific direct form of ibadah Islam has left us mostly with the indirect acts of ibadah such as earning the livelihood, association with one’s parents, wife, children, relatives, friends, neighbors etc. However, we become so absorbed in the worldly aspect and pleasures of these indirect acts of ibahad that we let their material aspects prevail over their spiritual aspects. So we have the choice of changing mundane acts into ibadah. For example, in our association with our mother we need to remember always the status that mothers have been accorded in Islam and that we can get jannah if we are obedient towards her. Love of Allah (swt) and Prophet Mohammad (saw), fear of Allah and aakhrat, being patient and pleased with what Allah’s has decreed, reliance upon Allah (swt), being hopeful of His Mercy and fearful of punishment from Allah (swt) are ibadah of the heart.
In his book “al-Arba’in fi Usul al-Deen Imam al-Ghazzali” has specified ten forms which ibahad can take:
1. Salaah.
2. Prescribed zakaat/ Alms-giving.
3. Roza/ Fasting.
4. Haji or pilgrimage to Makkah.
5. Reciting the Holy Qur’an.
6. Remembrance of Allah (swt) whenever possible.
7. Earning one’s livelihood according to the regulations of the Shari’ah
8. Fulfilling one’s moral duties towards one’s companions and neighbors.
9. Convincing people to act virtuously and dissuading them from what is wrong and forbidden.
10. Following the Sunnah (practice of the Holy Prophet (saw)”
