Imam Tibi has explained in his commentary on Mishkat al-Masabih that Surat Ya Sin was called ‘The Heart of the Quran because it contains overwhelming proofs, crucial signs, subtle spiritual meanings, eloquent reprimand, and strict warnings. Prophet Mohammad (saw) said, ‘Surely everything has a heart, and the heart of the Qur’an is Yasin. I would love that it should be in the heart of every person of my Ummah’[Bazzar]. Here are some easy amals of Surah Yaseen:
If someone is suffering from the problem of water in the lungs (Pulmonary edema) then the 1st 12 verses of Surah Yaseen should be read 7 times and blown over water. The water should be given to the sick person to drink. The same 12 verses should be written on a clean piece of paper. The sick person should be made to wear this in the form of a taweez.
If a person wishes to keep himself free from the effects of black magic then he should recite Surah Yaseen and then blow thrice over a grain of wheat. This grain should be worn on the right arm in the form of a taweez.
If a person is imprisoned then reciting Surah Yaseen as many times as he can will Inshallah help him to get back his freedom.
