Respect for Quran-E-Hakeem

Assalam oalaikum,
Quran–e-Hakeem is a holy book of the Muslims and the Word of Allah (swt). Therefore, it is obligatory for Muslims to show utmost respect for it.
Respect for the Holy Quran can be of two kinds: Roohani/spirutal and Zaahiri/physical.
The most important way to show respect for the Quran Paak is that the person who recites it should have a firm belief that he/she is reading the word of Allah (swt) and the listener should listen to it with reverence and staunch belief that he is listening to the Words of Allah (swt). This is the spiritual way of showing reverence for the Quran.
When a person touches the Quran Paak he/she should be clean i.e. he should perform ablution before touching the Quran Paak. Secondly, he/she should not scatter the pages of Quran here or there carelessly. If someone finds the pages of Holy Quran lying in improper places or in a disrespectful manner then they should be picked up and kept in a proper place. Thirdly, while selling old newspapers care should be taken that the newspapers that have articles related to Quran and Quranic verses should not be disposed. Rather we should cut out such articles and keep them aside. They can be buried in the mud later on. Otherwise the newspapers with Islamic articles will end up as paper bags.
Lastly, some people have the habit of reading newspapers in the toilet. This practice should be strictly avoided if there are Quran-related articles in them. These are the Zaahiri ways of showing respect for Quran-e-Hakeem.
