
Ali Jaber was a distinguished Qaari/ reciter from Saudi Arabia. He was born as Ali
Ibn Abdullah Ibn Ali Jaber in Jeddah in 1373 Hijri. At the age of 5, Ali Jaber had
shifted to Madinah along with his parents. He had memorized the Holy Quran at
the tender age of 15, in Madinah.
He had joined the Sharia’s Faculty of the Islamic University in 1396 Hijri and
graduated in 1365.
He graduated with honors and was offered the post of a judge in Mayssane but he
chose the post of an Administrative Inspector. Shortly after this he went on to
become a professor of Arab Language and Islamic studies in the Education
Faculty of Madinah Monawara.
Ali Jaber became a reciter and Imam in quite a few mosques in Saudi. Later on he
got nominated as an Imam of the private mosque of the late King Khalid Ibn
Abdul Aziz. When the Custodian of the 2 holy mosques shifted to Jeddah,Ali
Jaber
got nominated as the Imam of the Holy mosque of Makkah. As an official Imam of
the Holy Mosque he was awarded with a doctorate certificate in 1407 Hijri. He
passed away in 1426 Hijri in Jeddah.
