Mention of grapes in Quran-3
Assalam oalaikum,
Here are some of the health benefits of this great fruit due to which it to found its way into the Divine Book-Al-Quran:
Grapes are high in flavonoids,
Red grapes have the carotenoid lycopene, which may be helpful in battling breast and prostate cancer.
Grapes contain health-supportive nutrients such as Carotenoids, Phenolic Acids, Flavonols etc.
Grapes contain the hormone and antioxidant melatonin and also the unique oligopeptides which have anti-bacterial properties.
Besides containing the conventional antioxidant nutrients like manganese and vitamin C, grapes are full of antioxidant phytonutrients. Amazingly, there are hundreds of antioxidant nutrients found in grapes.
Grapes provide us with powerful anti-inflammatory advantages.
Eating grapes has many cardio benefits such as better blood pressure and total cholesterol regulation, reduced LDL cholesterol levels, reduced LDL oxidation etc
Recent studies show that the low GI value of grapes indicates the fruit's blood sugar benefits. Studies have now linked grape intake to an enhanced blood sugar balance, an improved insulin regulation and rise in insulin sensitivity.
