The arguments presented by the critics are that:
Ants do not talk. Instead they communicate through smells, and not through modulation of sounds. Hence, the question of Prophet Solomon hearing them does not arise.
Quran did not say that the ants spoke to Solomon to how could he understand what the ants talked amongst each other?
This is another example where the in-depth meaning of the Quran has been either not grasped or it has been deliberately misconstrued. In their bid to prove that the Holy Quran is a superficial book the critics try to ignore the real interpretation.
The Quran has a Divine origin and it does not need to prove itself before anybody as such. Rather it is a proof in itself about the omnipotent, omniscient and omnipresent Allah (swt)
Qur’an never says that ants communicate through speech and that too like human beings. What is the point of comparing human speech with the speech of an insect in any case? Contrarily, Quran only mentions that irrespective of the mode of communication in ants, Solomon (sws) grasped their communication, due to the special favors that were granted to him by Almighty Allah (swh).
Moreover, a news item published in Mail online says that the scientists have discovered that the ants talk to each other and they are cleverer than anybody can understand. A team of British and Spanish scientists managed to record the scraping sound of the queen and play it back to the workers. For this purpose they placed 4mm microphones and speakers in a nest of 400 red ants.
Now common sense says that if something is being recorded it implies that there is some sound.
So this proves how
the critics can even refute science in their desperate bid to prove false Quranic verses.
