Assalam oalikum,
Adil ibn saalim ibn saeed al kalbani was born in Riyadh in 1378 AH on the 25th of
Ramadan. His first studied under the guidance of Shaykh Hasan Ibn Gaanim Al-
gaanim. He learnt ‘The three principles’, ‘The removal of doubt’ and some of the
Sahih Bukhari, sahih at Tirmidhi as well as the Tafsir Ibn Kathir.
He also learnt from Shaykh Dr Mustafa Muslim, who was a teacher at the Imam
University. From him he took lessons in Faraidh or the compulsory things.
Following this he departed to sharakah.
Then he studied from Shaykh Abul Rahman ibn Jibrin the Akhir Tadmariyah and
the book of monotheism from Sahih Bukhari. Apart from this he learnt a major
part of book of belief from Sahih Muslim.
He had studied Quran from Shaykh Ahmad Mustafa and he obtained an ijazah of
hafs form aasim from the Shaatabis line. Shaykh Muhammed ibn Nahban also
granted him ijazah to recite aasim from the shaatabi line. Shaykh Muhammed
abu rawash granted him ijazah of hafs from the line of fil. Besides this he was also
granted an ijazah from Shaykh Muhammed Abdul Hameed to recite kaaloon from
nafi, which was from the line of shaatabi.
Apart from the above mentioned ijazahs there are many others that have been
obtained by Shaykh Adil al Kalbani
