Islam’s important role in eradicating social evils - 14
Assalam oalaikum,
Owing to its comprehensiveness, unlike the previous religious texts, Al-Quran provides solution to every problem that is being faced by humanity. Mankind can look up to it for guidance in every issue. If we are determined to implement the Quranic injunctions in our life in a practical sense, we can make our life free from all evils. Mankind can get innumerable benefits by following the Last Word of Allah (swt) - the smallest benefit being that alcohol will no longer control one’s sense of perception or in other words it will not make our senses, especially the tongue, uncontrollable. Thus, people will stop talking ill about Islam under influence of alcohol.
Here is a reminder for all those who slander the Last Word of Allah (swt) i.e. Al Quran without knowing a thing about their own religion:
‘But now you must put them all away, anger, wrath, malice, slander and obscene talk from your mouth’. (Colossians-3:8)
‘Nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor the drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the Kingdom of God’. (Corinthians-6:10)
‘Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice’. (Ephesians-4:31)
‘If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless’ (James-1:26)
‘Finally brothers whatever is true, whatever, is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about those things.’ (Philippians-4:8)
Hope this serves as a useful reminder to those whose only aim in life seems to be to ridicule the greatest religion of all times, namely Islam-The religion of Peace. (contd)
