Assalam o alaikum,
~ Social Mobility: This concept can be defined as the ability of individuals to progress within a social hierarchy with changes in their income or occupation. However, those who enjoy higher incomes are the only ones who can get access to quality education. In the present society the better the education one attains the more are his or her chances of procuring a good job. Thus, people with meager salaries cannot get the opportunity of moving up the ladder of social hierarchy.
So we find that capitalism has affected the world in a negative way and has led to the concentration of wealth in just a few hands. On the other hand there are billions of people in this world who are living below the poverty line.
This ugly truth has been the direct outcome of capitalism and the only solution to this global problem of poverty is Islam.
The Quran rejects the idea of any individual or any certain class having the sole rights over the available natural resources. According to the Holy Quran, the reason why some people are better off than the rest is not due to their own qualities. Contrarily, the fortune that some people enjoy is a favor or a blessing that Allah (swt) has bestowed on them. (contd)
