When used as eye salve honey can enhance one's vision.
Honey produces a whitening effect on the teeth if used while brushing them.
It can also be used as a mouthwash because it can strengthen the gums and prevents gum diseases.
Honey can ease menstrual discharge and it forces out phlegm.
No wonder Ibn al-Qayyim has classified honey both as a food as well as a medicine . The great healing properties of honey are no less than a miracle in themselves. It has been only recently that scientific research has discovered the plethora of benefits of honey. The Quran, on the other hand, has already enlightened mankind, 1400 years back, about the healing effects of honey. Who else could have told us about this fact besides the Creator himself?
