Assalam olaikum,
Emperor Aurangzeb’s court had 148 high Hindu officers in his court whereas even Akbar had only 14. Aurangeb has been accused by some of demolishing Hindu temples, left right and center. This fact is hard to digest since Emperor Aurangzeb lived life like a saint and was a devout Muslim. We know for sure that Islam is a religion of peace. If the fanatic critics of Islam behave sensibly then they will become silenced.
Since the Quran prohibits compulsion in matter of religion then it seems improbable how Emperor Aurangzeb can demolish anybody’s place of worship. Aurangzeb was a learned Islamic scholar and a true Muslim so it seems untrue that he could do things which contradict Islamic teaching.
Here are some startling truths about Aurangzeb which have been kept under wraps deliberately by the extremist critics of Islam:
First of all, if it was a hobby of Emperor Aurangzeb to destroy temples, there would not have been any temple left in India.
Emperor Aurangzeb had granted large estates in Benaras, Kashmir and other places, for the construction of temples, the documentations of which are still present. (contd)
