Mention of fish in Quran-2
Assalam oalaikum
Fish or fish oil is rich in PUFA’s or omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids which play a vital role in improving the health. Omega-3 fatty acids help in the maintenance of a healthy heart by keeping the blood pressure low. This prevents strokes, sudden death, heart attack and abnormal heart rhythms. Omega-3 fatty acids can decrease the threat of Alzheimer’s disease, dementia and diabetes. They play a vital role in the prenatal and postnatal neurological growth
Fish oil can help in regulating the cholesterol level
It can help in combating cystic fibrosis.
Besides these there are several other benefits of eating fish and many more will be Inshallah discovered by scientific research in the years to come. Thus eating fish regularly can help one prevent many diseases. The omega 3 fatty acids which provide a plethora of health benefits cannot be produced by our body in considerable amounts. Fish is rich in these beneficial fats. So fish should form an integral part of our diet.
Allah (swt) who has created the entire universe and is All-Knowing, has already enlightened mankind about the importance of fish as a food by mentioning it in His Divine Book- the Holy Quran.
