In the earlier posts I have cleared the air about the false accusations perpetrated upon Emperor Aurangzeb. So far we have also discussed the barbaric attacks on Muslims by the crusaders. The cruelty of the Christians, however, did not end here.
The infamous Spanish Inquisition has added another dark chapter in the world history. The Christians had defeated the last Muslim ruler of Spain and had established their rule in 1492. This was a desperate attempt on the part of the Church to expel the Jews and Muslims out of Spain. They inflicted many atrocities such as forcibly converting to Christianity. The Christians did not show any mercy towards the women and children. If anybody protested, the Christian conquerors used to burn them to death.
This dastardly act of the Christians disgraced them throughout the world. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India quoted a historian who had said that the Muslims were forced to assume the hats of their Christian conquerors, their language, their names and almost everything that was Spanish. This means that the treacherous Christians wanted to rob the Muslims of their religion, customs, mother tongue and even their names.
It is hard for us to even imagine what the Muslims of those times might have gone through. (contd)
