Assalam oalikum,
Abdul Bari Ath Thobaity is a Qur’an reciter from Saudi. He was born in Makkah in
the year 1380 Hijri.
Abdul Bari Ath Thobaity got his bachelor’s degree in Sciences from The King Fahd
Abdul Aziz’s University of Jeddah in 1405 Hijri. After this he joined the Oum Al
Qora University for a higher degree in Sharia, which he obtained with honors in
1409. This was followed by a Master’s degree in 1415 hijri from the Shariaa’s
Faculty of the same university.
Abdul Bari Ath Thobaity had become a teacher and a Qur’an memorizer at a
young age of 19. He had also organized a few Qur’an memorizing sessions in
Jeddah.
In 1397, the Holy Qur’an Memorization Association of Makkah had proposed him
to lead the Salaat in the Holy month of Ramadan in an Islamic center of UK.
Since 1414 hijri, Abdul Bari Ath Thobaity has had the privilege of participating in
the Salaah of the Prophet’s Mosque as an Imam and a preacher.
