Assalam oalaikum,
Pomegranates have been mentioned in the hadith also.
Anas bin Malik, (ra), narrated that the Prophet Mohammad (saw), said: "There is not a pomegranate which does not have a pip from one of the pomegranates of the Garden (of Jannah) in it."
Ali bin Abi Talib, (ra), narrated that Prophet Mohammad (saw) said: "Pomegranate and its rind strengthen digestion (stomach)."
Ibn Qayyim" Ibn Qayyim Al Jawziyya was an Islamic scholar who had produced one of the most significant works about Prophetic medicine in a 277-chapter book, Al-Tibb al-Nabawiya. He has dealt with various cures for individuals which have been suggested by Prophet Mohammad (Saw). Pomegranate has been mentioned in Tib-al-Nabawi or the Medicine of the Prophet. Prophet Mohammad (saw) said that it cleanses you of Satan and evil aspirations for 40 days.
