Assalam olaikum,
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said:
Verily the one who recites the Qur’an beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have twice that reward.” [Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. This hadith shows that anyone who tries to recite A-Quran with love, devotedness and respect will be rewarded.
According to a hadith Jibreel (ra) used to visit Prophet Mohammad (saw) every night during Ramadan and he used to study the Quran with him. Narrated by al-Bukhari, 5; Muslim, 4268
There is a hadith about the hafiz-e-Quran: Such a person who recites the Quran and masters it by heart, will be with the noble righteous scribes (in Heaven). And such a person exerts himself to learn the Quran by heart, and recites it with great difficulty, will have a double reward." (Sahih Bukhari: book #60, Hadith #459)
These ahadith make it clear that reciting Quran daily and devotedly is quite rewarding. If we understand the benefits of reading Quran daily then we will never waste our time in other worldly pastimes but read Quran, instead.
